十、一些與不定代詞搭配的常見(jiàn)詞組。

⑴ anything but 根本不

   That’s anything but true.

⑵ anything like 象… 那樣的事物；全然

   I cannot give anything like a fair description of the exciting scene.

⑶ some… or other 表示不確定 “某一”

   I shall be coming again some or other.

⑷ something of 在某種程度上；算得上是

   I’m something of a designer.

⑸ something like 頗似； 大約

   It is shaped something like a ball.

   It must be something like seven o’clock now.

⑹ or something 表示不十分肯定

   Mr Green is a shopkeeper or something.

⑺ none but 只有

   None but the aged and the sick stayed at home.

⑻ none other than 不是別的而是；就是

   It was none other than Mr Wang.

⑼ None of that! 別那樣！ None of your business!

⑽ as much as 差不多；幾乎等于

   He as much as admitted the whole story .

⑾ as much 相當(dāng)于so

   I thought as much.

⑿ not so much…as… 與其說(shuō)…倒不如說(shuō)

   He is not so much a writer as a reporter.
