梵高墓碑: "Ici repose (here lies) Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890)"

我想畫(huà)出我感受到的東西，并去感受我的畫(huà)——梵高

■ 編者按：文森特·梵高，他是家族的流亡者，是世界的陌生人，是自己的敵人。美國(guó)的一位游吟歌手Don Mclean 在閱讀了一本關(guān)于分高生平的書(shū)后，寫(xiě)下這首《Vincent》的歌詞：

Starry starry night

星光閃耀的夜晚

flaming flowers that brightly blaze

那些如烈焰般綻放的花兒

swirling clouds in violet haze

那些在紫羅蘭的薄霧中旋轉(zhuǎn)的云朵

reflect in Vincent's eyes of China blue

都在文森特瓷器一樣湛藍(lán)的眸子里

Colors changing hue

變幻著色彩

morning fields of amber grain

清晨琥珀色的原野

weathered faces lined in pain

風(fēng)化了的臉孔鐫刻著的痛楚

are smoothed beneath the artist's loving hand

畫(huà)家用深情手去撫慰那些憂傷

And now I understand

而此刻我才懂得

what you tried to say to me

你想對(duì)我訴說(shuō)的那些故事

and how you suffered for your sanity

你因深深的思索而承受著苦悶

and how you tried to set them free

你因賦予思想自由而所做的一切

They would not listen

可是，那些人不會(huì)聽(tīng)到

they did not know how

因?yàn)樗麄儫o(wú)法體會(huì)

perhaps they'll listen now

又或許  他們現(xiàn)在才知道

For they could not love you

盡管他們并不愛(ài)你

but still your love was true

可你的愛(ài)卻是如此真實(shí)

and when no hope was left in sight on that

在那個(gè)只有絕望的星夜

starry starry night

你帶走了自己的生命

You took your life as lovers often do

就像殉情的愛(ài)人一樣

But I could have told you Vincent

然而 我必須告訴你真相 文森特

this world was never meant for one

像你這樣美好的靈魂

as beautiful as you

本就不該來(lái)這骯臟的世間
