A jobless dad who has 40 children to 20 different women plays video game Grand Theft Auto for up to 20 HOURS a day.

Unemployed recovering alcoholic Mike Holpin plays the notorious game on his PlayStation 4, which costs ￡450 and has been funded by benefits.

The 56 year old came under the spotlight this week when he revealed that he doesn't believe in contraception and loves sex, even though he claims it is difficult for him to remember the names of all of his offspring.

Now it has been revealed that Mike, from Ebbw Vale in Monmouthshire, Wales, plays video games for hours on end on his three 48in widescreen televisions, reports the Sun.

It is estimated that his 40 children have cost the taxpayer more than ￡4million in benefits and care costs.

He also says there are "probably a few more" of his children out there.

Mike is believed to be one of the UK’s most prolific fathers with offspring aged between 37 and three, and claims that he would be happy to add to his brood.

But he is not in touch with all of them and others have been removed by social services.

Despite admitting he would not recognise many of his offspring in the street, Mike said he would like to have even more children.

The three-times married man keeps track of his kids' name with a huge family tree tattooed on his back.

He is now engaged again to fiancée Diane after admitting that most of his relationships have broken down because of drinking and womanising.

Many of his children have also been taken into care because of his alcoholism, which he says is his "biggest regret".

He said: “I’m as fertile as sin.

“I don’t believe in contraception and I love sex.

“Due to my drinking and my womanising, most of my kids have gone through the care system.

“It makes me feel like s*** because they’ve suffered. They [social services] took them from me because I’m an alcoholic."

Since becoming infamous in their former Welsh mining town, Mr Holpin’s daughter Rhiannon, 19, wrote on Facebook yesterday: "You can all hate but it doesn’t matter, there’s plenty of us to stick up for each other and we can take on the lot of you.

"I feel like I can’t even leave my house without people judging. Get off my back, I didn’t ask my dad to do what he’s done with his life."
