定義：在復合句里作主語的從句就是主語從句

①That he finished writing the composition in such a short time surprised us all.

②What we need are good doctors.

③Who your friends are can tell who you are.

1.主語從句的連接詞

1).連接詞: that, whether

①.That he will win is certain.

②.Whether he’ll join us in the discussion is unknown yet.

2).連接代詞: who, what, which, whom , whose, whoever, whatever, whichever

①.It is clear who wins the competition.

②.What you need is more practice.

③Which one is the best is not clear.

④Whatever he did was right.  

3).連接副詞: when, where, why, how, how many, how much , how long, how soon, how often

①When we’ll start tomorrow will be told soon.

②Where he has gone is a question.

③Why he came here is not known.

④How he can earn a living in Britain remains a big problem.

★形式主語

為了防止句子頭重腳輕，通常把形式主語it 放在主語位置，真正主語后置。

3. It is very likely that they will hold a meeting.

4. It is strange that the man is wearing any clothes.

5. It is a pity that we won't be able to go to the south to spend our summer vacation.
