一、問題在段首或是小標題
如果問題在段首或是小標題，通常是考查主題。認真閱讀下文內(nèi)容，根據(jù)段落一致性的原則，查找同義詞或其他相關的詞，推斷出主題。關注每段首尾句，了解大意。方法是:分析選項關鍵詞是否與原文、段落主旨吻合。排除過于寬泛、以偏概全、偏離主題的干擾項。七選五文章通常分為若干小段落，各段落會根據(jù)整體文章寫作主題展開，對文章主題進行不同方面的描述。因此，解題時，應在有限的時間內(nèi)對文章進行快速瀏覽，抓住文章結構及主要內(nèi)容。另外，還可以通過句式結構來判斷，例如祈使句類的短句，肯定或否定的陳述句。

二、問題在段中
如果問題在段中，要細讀備選項，巧用與文章相對應的線索詞。解題時，應重點閱讀備選項和文章空白處的上下文，圈定文章中的線索詞，明確試題考查要素，結合選項中的關鍵詞，形成重要的選擇依據(jù)。此時，有的混淆選項干擾性較大，可能出現(xiàn)只能與空格前一句連貫或后一句連貫的現(xiàn)象。

如果問題在段尾，通常是結論、概括性的語句。注意在選項中查找表示結果、結論、總結等的信號詞，如therefore, as a result, in short, to sum up, in a word等詞語。
