Mixed-gender events in athletics, swimming, table tennis and triathlon have been approved for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the IOC has announced.
國際奧委會宣布，2020年東京奧運(yùn)會的田徑、游泳、乒乓球以及鐵人三項(xiàng)的男女混合項(xiàng)目已獲得批準(zhǔn)。

IOC president Thomas Bach said the Games will be "more youthful, more urban and include more women".
國際奧委會主席托馬斯·巴赫表示，奧運(yùn)會將“更年輕化、都市化，并吸引更多女性參與?！?/p>

2020年東京奧運(yùn)會將新增9個(gè)男女混合項(xiàng)目包括乒乓球混合雙打（mixed doubles in table tennis）、游泳4x100米混合接力（4x100m medley mixed relay in swimming）、射箭混合團(tuán)體賽（mixed team event in archery）、田徑4x400米混合接力（4x400m mixed relay in athletics）、柔道混合團(tuán)體賽（mixed team event in judo）、鐵人三項(xiàng)混合團(tuán)體接力（ mixed team relay in triathlon）和三個(gè)男子射擊項(xiàng)目變?yōu)槟信旌享?xiàng)目，新增加的項(xiàng)目大幅度提高了男女混合項(xiàng)目的數(shù)量。

Tokyo 2020 will see an overall reduction of 285 athletes from the 2016 Rio Games after the program adjustment, which also features significant changes in existing events toward gender balance by transferring some men's disciplines to women's and mixed.
經(jīng)過項(xiàng)目調(diào)整后，2020年東京奧運(yùn)會運(yùn)動員總?cè)藬?shù)將比2016年里約奧運(yùn)會減少285人，同時(shí)，通過將部分男子項(xiàng)目改為女子項(xiàng)目，實(shí)現(xiàn)現(xiàn)有項(xiàng)目男女平衡方面的重大改進(jìn)。

根據(jù)執(zhí)委會當(dāng)天的決定，三對三籃球（three-on-three basketball event）也將成為2020年東京奧運(yùn)會新增項(xiàng)目之一，這符合東京奧運(yùn)會提出的城市集群概念，同時(shí)也是第一個(gè)從青奧會項(xiàng)目升級為奧運(yùn)會項(xiàng)目的運(yùn)動。

東京奧運(yùn)會的其他新增項(xiàng)目還包括：男子和女子擊劍項(xiàng)目團(tuán)體賽、場地自行車男子和女子麥迪遜賽（the madison to the cycling program）、公園小輪車男子和女子自由式比賽（freestyle BMX）、男子800米自由泳和女子1500米自由泳（men's 800m and women's 1500m freestyle races）。
