I want to wish you a great New Year. May your most important wishes come true. I was recently asked about how Principles could help make that happen. Flag。 Especially through your New Year's resolutions. What immediately popped into my mind 是你是否清楚你自己最大的弱點(diǎn)是什么, is the power of identifying your one big thing, 然后想辦法化解它。 and eliminating it as a barrier. Everyone has at least one big thing. So, what's your one big thing? It's your one, multi-year weakness or impediment that repeatedly stands in the way of you getting the outcomes you want. everyone has weaknesses revealed by the patterns of mistakes they make. The fastest path to success starts with knowing what your weaknesses are and staring hard at them. If you're not sure what your one big thing is, 把你心中的痛苦寫(xiě)下來(lái),把你犯過(guò)的錯(cuò)誤寫(xiě)下來(lái), write down your pains and mistakes, 試著去打通它們之間的內(nèi)在聯(lián)系, and connect the dots between them, 如果你還是想不通,你就去問(wèn)問(wèn)你身邊的人。 or ask others. Once you identify that one big thing, write it down in big letters. Stick it up somewhere so you will see it regularly. Stare at it regularly. Now, commit to eliminating it as as barrier and start thinking of how. There are two ways to eliminate your barriers: 一種辦法,你可以在哪兒跌倒,就在哪兒爬起來(lái), You can get strong where you are weak, 另一種辦法,你在哪兒跌倒,就去請(qǐng)教一位不會(huì)在這兒跌倒的高人,為你指點(diǎn)迷津。 or you can get help from others who are strong where you are weak. Typically, getting the help from others where you are weak is the most effective path, 因?yàn)槌哂兴?,寸有所長(zhǎng)——人人各有其短長(zhǎng), because nature gave you strengths and weaknesses, 而人們往往又都是江山易改,本性難移。 and it's very difficult to change them. By identifying your one big thing and by constantly keeping it top of mind, 你會(huì)為之抓狂,你會(huì)覺(jué)得如鯁在喉, so that it annoys you, like a pebble in your shoe, 你會(huì)逼著自己四處找人,求醫(yī)問(wèn)藥, and by seeking people's help to eliminate it, 你就能自然而然地,把它給“大事化小,小事化了”。 you will naturally reduce it as a barrier. And by reducing it as a barrier, you will radically improve your life. If there's one gift I can give you, it would be to do that well. Happy New Year. So, what's your One Big Thing? |
