You will not want to make the following mistakes when taking the test: failing to complete the reverse parking in 210 seconds; failing to complete the side parking within 90 seconds; not looking at the back of the car before starting it or getting out of it.

1. Turning and reversing

2. Determine the distance from the front car

When the lower edge of the rear wheel of the front car is flush with the lower edge of your windshield, the distance is 3-5 meters, which is safe for parking. 

When the lower edge of the front bumper is flush with the lower edge of your windshield, the distance is about 2 meters, the parking distance is safe, and the pedestrian distance is safe.

When the upper edge of the front bumper is flush with the lower edge of your windshield, the distance is 0.5-1 meters, which is not safe. Although many experienced drivers would follow cars like this, it is likely to cause a rear-end collision for a novice.
