他同學(xué)的意思只是：

'為...騰空間；擠時(shí)間; 讓座'

這里的“room”不是房子

不能夠理解為制造房子

room 在這指的是“空間”

I need to make room for 

my exam next month.

我必須騰些空間出來(lái)備考下個(gè)月的考試。

Why don't you make room for the lady?
