在日常生活中，how about 和 what about 是兩個(gè)非正式的提問格式，雖然它們經(jīng)常有重疊的用法，但是在一些獨(dú)特的上下文中，它們不能互換。

一、how about 被用來建議一個(gè)行動(dòng)或不同的可能性，后面經(jīng)常跟現(xiàn)在分詞或代詞 + 不帶 to 不定式，有時(shí)也可以接名詞或名詞短語，例如：

1、建議某人某事，例如：

后面跟動(dòng)名詞：

I’m free this evening. How about going out?

后面跟代詞 + 不帶 to 不定式，此時(shí)不能跟 what about 互換：

3、詢問某人是否要做某事，例如：

二、what about 通常用來暗示一個(gè)潛在的問題或是對(duì)象，具體點(diǎn)就是應(yīng)該對(duì)某事做什么，后面通常跟一個(gè)名詞或名詞短語，此時(shí)不能與 how about 互換，例如：

A: Let’s go on a trip!
