江南水鄉(xiāng)的蘇州,國人心目中的現(xiàn)世,但又是只存在于記憶中的桃花源。 在姑胥府的景觀營造上,因尺度和功能皆有其局限性,如何能在咫尺之地瞭望蘇州的煙云神韻,如何重塑這份記憶,就成為這個(gè)設(shè)計(jì)的主要出發(fā)點(diǎn)。 The southern water city of Suzhou (also called “Gusu” and “Guxu” in ancient China) is an ideal settlement environment in the eyes of Chinese people, and also the Taohuayuan (a paradise hidden from the outside world) only remaining in memory. In the landscape planning of Guxu Mansion, due to its limitations in scale and function, the design primarily started from how to let people experience Suzhou’s charm in such a small place and how to recreate déjà vu. 
我們?cè)噲D打破直接的模仿,進(jìn)而以間接跳躍的方式,把蘇州園林進(jìn)行分離、抽象和再組合成一個(gè)景觀裝置,讓居民能在驚鴻一瞥中體察到蘇州的隱喻性印象,保留下這座城市的記憶痕跡。 We tried to abstract Suzhou gardens and reorganize a new landscape in an indirect and unconventional way, instead of directly copying, impressing residents there by the metaphorical image of Suzhou deeply from a glimpse. 
造型與記憶之間,建立可感知的觸發(fā)機(jī)制。 A feeling trigger mechanism
is built between design and memory. 記憶機(jī)制的成敗關(guān)鍵在于:構(gòu)成造型的基本“骨架(framework)”能否誘發(fā)觀者的內(nèi)在意識(shí)和情感。因此,如何搭建骨架就變成了設(shè)計(jì)的核心問題。The key to a memory mechanism is that the design framework could arouse visitors’ internal consciousness and feelings. Therefore, how to build such framework is the essential part of the design.  在理想的狀態(tài)中,骨架須與蘇州城市緊密相關(guān),再進(jìn)一步說,從蘇州的城市空間組織和元素中提煉出來的骨架,即是本設(shè)計(jì)的原型(prototype)。Ideally, the framework should be closely related to Suzhou. In other words, the framework developed from urban space organization and elements of Suzhou is the prototype of the design.  設(shè)計(jì)原型的思考建立于這樣的兩種假設(shè)之上:A、從多層次的結(jié)構(gòu)空間上凝練而來的蘇州印象,要比單層次的提取某個(gè)元素和符號(hào),具有更大的潛力和機(jī)會(huì)激發(fā)觀者的情感記憶。B、從在多個(gè)層次上抽離蘇州空間結(jié)構(gòu)的特點(diǎn),形成具有某種一致性的設(shè)計(jì)原則,也能在最大程度地刺激觀者的似曾相識(shí)之感(Déjà vu)。There are two assumptions for the conception of the prototype: A. The image of Suzhou refined by multileveled space structure has greater potential and more chances to evoke visitors’ emotions and memories than single-level utilization of some element or symbol. B. The characteristics of Suzhou’s space structure abstracted from several levels establish the design principle of coherence and arouse visitors’ déjà vu to the greatest extent.本設(shè)計(jì),一方面,將從點(diǎn)到面等六個(gè)層次上入手搭建景觀的空間骨架,一方面,在從點(diǎn)到線等不同層次上提煉空間的共性,共同形成設(shè)計(jì)的基礎(chǔ)骨架。而基礎(chǔ)骨架可以被設(shè)定成一種“抽象性張力性骨架”。In the design, on one hand, a space frame for landscape is built from six levels from points to plane; on the other hand, the university in space developed from different levels from points to lines establishes the framework of the design. This framework could be set as an “abstract and stretching framework”.
 在庭、園、宅、橋和城的五重結(jié)構(gòu)中,隨機(jī)自由與規(guī)則秩序、穩(wěn)定基礎(chǔ)與漂浮框架便是本項(xiàng)目的造性骨架,正是在自由與幾何間,在綿延與轉(zhuǎn)折間,在軟質(zhì)與堅(jiān)硬間,在白色與深色間……在山與水間,具有張力性的景觀裝置,渴望重新喚起蘇州城的歷史性記憶。The framework of the design consists of liberty and order, stable foundation and floating frame in such five structures as courtyard, garden, residence, bridge and city. The stretching landscape settings recall the historical memories of Suzhou between liberty and geometry, coherence and transition, soft and rigidity, white and dark color.
