星期四，到了我們學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)語的時候了！

習(xí)語，英文是idiom，可以說類似于我們中國的成語，一個習(xí)語，組成它的每一個單詞你可能都認(rèn)識，但組合在一起你不一定認(rèn)識。很多習(xí)語，像成語一樣，有自己的出處或典故。也有的，就是常用的固定搭配。

我們今天的學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù)是三個習(xí)語：

1、make fun of 取笑；拿（某人）開玩笑

這個習(xí)語比較容易理解，就是以別人的某個問題或缺陷為樂，也就是取笑某人。

Everybody always makes fun of my accent.

大家經(jīng)常拿我的口音開玩笑。

I changed my hairstyle and everybody made fun of it.

我換了發(fā)型，人人都取笑我。

I'm not making fun of you. I admire what you did.

我不是在取笑你。我很仰慕你做的事。

這個習(xí)語的另一個同義表達(dá)是：poke fun at sb./sth.

2、no wonder 難怪；不足為奇

No wonder the baby is crying. She's wet.

難怪寶寶在哭，她尿濕了。

No wonder that plant died. You watered it too much.

難怪那棵植物會死，你澆太多水了。

No wonder you’re so tired. You’ve been working all night.

難怪你這么累。你整晚都在工作啊。

以上三句話其實(shí)都是這個習(xí)語的句型用法：

No wonder…

難怪……

這個句型其實(shí)是省略的表達(dá)，完整的表達(dá)是：It’s no wonder…

此外，No wonder也可以單獨(dú)作為一個句子來使用。

3、pain in the neck討厭的人或事

這個習(xí)語的字面意思是：脖子上的疼痛，可它并不是指脖子因?yàn)槁湔怼㈩i椎等問題而疼痛哦。

You're being a real pain!

你真討厭！

My little sister won't leave me alone. She's a real pain in the neck.

我妹妹就是不肯讓我自己呆著。她可真是難搞。

There were times when Joe could be a real pain in the neck.

有的時候喬真的是很討厭。

這個習(xí)語也可說成是：

a pain in the butt/ass

不過，這樣的說法不太禮貌，你能聽懂就好了，自己就不要亂說了。
