李佩甫，男，1953年10月生，河南許昌人，1984年畢業(yè)于河南電視大學(xué)漢語言文學(xué)專業(yè)。曾為河南省文聯(lián)副主席、河南省作家協(xié)會(huì)主席，現(xiàn)為河南省作家協(xié)會(huì)名譽(yù)主席，中國(guó)作協(xié)全委會(huì)委員。1978年開始發(fā)表作品，代表作品有長(zhǎng)篇小說《羊的門》《等等靈魂》《生命冊(cè)》《平原客》等，中篇小說《黑蜻蜓》等，另有電視連續(xù)劇、電影劇本等共四百余萬字。部分作品被翻譯到美國(guó)、日本、韓國(guó)等。曾獲茅盾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)、莊重文文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)、飛天獎(jiǎng)等獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)。 

李佩甫早期的創(chuàng)作多與鄉(xiāng)土有關(guān)，他將人比喻為“植物”，植物的根深植于土地，人與土地有根深蒂固的關(guān)系，因而他善于探求中原的文化底蘊(yùn)和民心、民性。評(píng)論家謝有順曾這樣評(píng)價(jià)其作品：“李佩甫的小說主題詞是權(quán)力，而比權(quán)力更廣大的是人心。他的寫作，習(xí)慣從中原文化的腹地出發(fā)，以都市和鄉(xiāng)村、歷史與現(xiàn)實(shí)互證的方式，書寫出當(dāng)代中國(guó)大地上那些破敗的人生和殘存的信念。他對(duì)人心荒涼之后的權(quán)力迷信所帶來的苦難，有著尖銳、清醒的認(rèn)識(shí)，正如他精微、冷峻的筆法，總是在追問生命豐富的情狀如何才能更加健旺地生長(zhǎng)?！?/p>

《羊的門》是使李佩甫享譽(yù)文壇的早期代表作，結(jié)構(gòu)宏大，反映了中國(guó)近四十年的風(fēng)云變幻，具有極強(qiáng)的現(xiàn)實(shí)沖擊力，令人震撼。小說的主人公是呼家堡的當(dāng)家人呼天成，他是一個(gè)“東方鄉(xiāng)村教父”式的人物，兼具遠(yuǎn)大的眼光和靈活的手腕，立足于本村情況，在四十年的時(shí)間里，構(gòu)建了一個(gè)從鄉(xiāng)到縣、從省城到首都的巨大的關(guān)系網(wǎng)，將呼家堡的人一個(gè)個(gè)地送往城市，送往官場(chǎng)。在縣長(zhǎng)呼國(guó)慶的身上也寄寓了深刻的現(xiàn)實(shí)意義。《等等靈魂》是一部商場(chǎng)小說，描寫了轉(zhuǎn)業(yè)軍人任秋風(fēng)接手瀕臨倒閉的國(guó)營(yíng)商場(chǎng)，在商海中搏殺，憑借出色的經(jīng)營(yíng)才能和“商學(xué)院三枝花”的幫助，使商場(chǎng)奇跡般重新崛起。然而，成功后的任秋風(fēng)禁不起權(quán)力的誘惑，靈魂漸漸迷失，他的商業(yè)帝國(guó)也最終倒下。《生命冊(cè)》出版于2012年。作者以第一人稱寫了“我”從農(nóng)村走向城市，在城市打拼的故事，以“我”的經(jīng)歷為圓心，書寫了一部五十年間蕓蕓眾生的生命冊(cè)?！拔摇睆霓r(nóng)村走向省城，成為一名大學(xué)教師。面對(duì)養(yǎng)“我”的老姑夫不時(shí)向“我”傳來的幫村人辦事的難題和愛情的困頓，“我”和大學(xué)同學(xué)當(dāng)了北漂后又投入了商海中。不管是大學(xué)同學(xué)還是無梁村村民，在時(shí)代的浪潮中都無力地走向了自己的反面。

2017年李佩甫的又一長(zhǎng)篇力作——《平原客》出版。該作以豫中平原為故事背景，書寫了劉金鼎的成長(zhǎng)史和心靈史，以及李德林動(dòng)蕩的一生，可謂寫盡平原上的花客與人心。

Li Peifu was born in October 1953 in Xuchang, Henan Province and graduated from Henan Television University in 1984 with a major in Chinese Language and Literature. He was the vice chairman of Henan Wenlian and the chairman of the Henan Writers Association. He is now the Honorary Chairman of the Henan Writers Association and a member of the National Committee of the Chinese Writers Association. In 1978, he began publishing his works with representative novels including Door of the Sheepfold, Wait for the Soul, The Book of Life, The Guest on the Plains, and so on, and novellas including Black Dragonfly. He has also written more than four million Chinese characters’ worth of TV series and screenplays. Some of his works have been translated and imported into the United States, Japan, South Korea and so on. He has won many awards including the Mao Dun Literature Award, the Zhuang Zhongwen Literary Award, and the Flying Goddess Award.

Li Peifu’s early creations were mostly related to the countryside. He likens people to plants. The roots of plants are deeply embedded in the land and people have deep-seated relationships with the land. Therefore, he is good at exploring the cultural heritage, people’s hearts, and people’s nature of the Central Plains. The commentator Xie Youshun commented on his works: “Li Peifu’s novel subjects include power, and people’s hearts, which is much broader than power. His writing often sets off from the hinterlands of the Central Plains culture, with a mutual recognition of the urban and rural areas, history and reality. He writes about the broken lives and remnant beliefs on the land of contemporary China, and he has a sharp and sober understanding of the suffering caused by the superstition of power after the desolation of people. Just as his subtle, cold pen work is always asking questions, he is always questioning how life-enhancing circumstances can grow more vigorously.”

Door of the Sheepfold is an early representative work that made Li Peifu famous in the literary world. It has a grand structure and reflects the drastic changes in China’s history over the last 40 years. It has a powerful impact on the real world and is an earth-shattering read. The protagonist of the novel is the head of the Hu family, Hu Tiancheng. He is an “Oriental rural Godfather” type character. He has great vision and flexible skills. Based on his village’s situation, he has built a huge network of relationships in 40 years from the township to the county, and from the provincial capital to the capital. He sends everyone from the Hu family to the cities one by one to official circles. The county chief Hu Guoqing also has a profound practical significance.

Wait for the Soul is a novel set in a shopping mall. It depicts the demobilized soldier Ren Qiufeng taking over a state-owned shopping mall on the brink of collapse. He fights hard in the commercial world and with his excellent business abilities and the help of three beautiful women from the business school, the shopping mall miraculously re-builds itself. However, after his success, Ren Qiufeng cannot afford the temptation of power and he gradually loses his soul. His business empire also eventually falls apart.

The Book of Life was published in 2012. The author writes the story in the first-person, where “I” go from the countryside into the city to work hard there. With “my” experiences as the central thread, the author writes a book of the life of mortal beings over the course of fifty years. “I” travelled from the countryside to the provincial capital and became a university teacher. Faced with the difficult problems of having the uncle who raised me now and again sending me villagers that needed help handling affairs and the dilemma of love, “my” college classmates and “I” entered the business world after drifting northwards. No matter whether it is a college student or a villager in Wuliang Village, they are powerlessly moving toward their own opposites through the waves of time.

In 2017, Li Peifu’s other masterpiece, The Guest on the Plains was published. The book uses Yuzhong Plain as the background to the story, and depicts the growth and spiritual history of Liu Jinding, as well as the turbulent life of Li Delin. It can be said to have written all there is on flower guests and people’s hearts on the plain.
