一、“口語化”“花式”參考譯文：

Yan’an (City，加詞，既然英語是翻譯給“不知情”的“老外”看，必須“加注”，否則，我們自己很熟悉的東西，直接弄成英語，讀者就會一臉懵，跟什么都沒說一個樣) lies in /is situated in/is located in north Shanxi Province (in Northwest China)and in the middle reaches(not the upper reaches or the lower reaches) of the Yellow River, (China's second longest river).

It's deemed as/regarded as the Sacred Land of THE Chinese Revolution where the first generation(建議改old為first，老一代只是中國說法，old genetation“怪怪的”，甚至“膽子再大一點，借用美國人的說法：the founding fathers一詞”) of revolutionaries including Mao Zhedong/Mao Zedong,along with other revolutionaries of the first generation used to live and fight for 13 years.（句子太長了，可以“截斷”）.They led there/It was there that they led the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression/Invasion/Occupation and the Liberation War.They cultivated/developed/fostered the Yan ’an Spirit and they made tremendous/great contribution to the Chinese Revolution. 

Of its kind in China,the revolutionary site in Yan'an ranks first in numbers of buildings,in scale.It also has the highest ranking of its kind.

Yan'an is one of the numerous education bases for patriotism,for the revolutionary tradition/legacy and for inheriting the Yan'an Spirit.

There are a total of nine revolutionary memorial houses/halls/museums in Yan'an,where visitors can see on display numerous/a lot of important materials/exhibits belonging to the revolutionaries of the first genetation during their life and work in Yan'an.

So these museums are also referred to/called/reputed as the Musrum City of the Chinese Revolution.

二、原文

延安位于陜西省北部，地處黃河中游，是中國革命的圣地。毛澤東等老一輩革 命家曾在這里生活戰(zhàn)斗了十三個春秋，領(lǐng)導了抗日戰(zhàn)爭和解放戰(zhàn)爭，培育了延安精神，為中國革命做出了巨大貢獻。延安的革命舊址全國數(shù)量最大、分布最廣、級別最高。延安是全國愛國主義、革命傳統(tǒng)和延安精神教育基地。延安有9個革命紀念館，珍藏著中共中央和老一輩革命家在延安時期留存下來的大量重要物品，因此享有“中國革命博物館城”的美譽。

三、標準“參考譯文”

譯文存在的一些問題：

1.用詞有誤，以及專有名詞大小寫問題，如中國革命（中國曾有過多次“革命”，此處的“革命”特指CPC領(lǐng)導的那場革命，故應大寫），延安精神等應該首個字母應該大寫）

2.一方面英語應試教育從來都是讓學生用漢語學的英語，一方面有要求考場里的考生在30分鐘內(nèi)“徒手”如英語專業(yè)學生那樣完成一篇正兒八經(jīng)書面語很重的“解說詞”。這樣的語言學習“邏輯”不自恰??！只能難為那些老死記硬背標準答案過關(guān)的學生了。

3.延安的“圣地”是表達成Holy land，而不是a sacred land嗎？

Holy land一般特指中東約旦河東岸，也就是埃及和敘利亞之間的那塊土地，也叫上帝給的Land of promise，什么時候“跑”延安去了？

在中國，被稱為“革命圣地”的一般只有“延安”一個地方，所以，不要說a sacred land，更不是a holy land，而是THE sacred land，更不是“基督教色彩”濃重讓人想到耶路撒冷的Holy land
