to do 和 doing  作賓語(yǔ)的區(qū)別

1. 動(dòng)詞 like 、love 、hate 、begin、start 等之后,既可以接不定式作賓語(yǔ),也可以接動(dòng)名詞作賓語(yǔ),且意義沒(méi)有太大區(qū)別. (雖說(shuō)沒(méi)太大區(qū)別,還是有細(xì)微差別,這里就不展開(kāi)了.)

I like to go for a walk after dinner.（我喜歡晚飯后散步。）

I like swimming.（我喜歡游泳。）

She began to cry when she heard the bad news. 當(dāng)她聽(tīng)到這個(gè)壞消息時(shí)，她開(kāi)始哭了起來(lái)。

As soon as the bell rang, the students began doing their homework.  鈴聲一響，學(xué)生們就開(kāi)始做作業(yè)了。

2. 動(dòng)詞及短語(yǔ)forget、remember 、try、stop、go on 等之后, 既可以接不定式作賓語(yǔ),也可以接動(dòng)名詞作賓語(yǔ),但意義差別很大.

1).  forget to do sth. 與 forget doing sth. 

forget to do sth. 忘記要去做某事

forget doing sth. 忘記做過(guò)某事

Don't forget to lock the door when you leave the house. 離開(kāi)家的時(shí)候別忘了鎖門(mén)。

I forgot locking the door. I thought it was open.  我忘記已經(jīng)鎖門(mén)了.我以為門(mén)是開(kāi)的.

2).  remember to do sth. 與 remember doing sht. 

remember to do sth.  記住要做某事

remember doing sth. 記得做過(guò)某事

Remember to call your mother when you get to school.到學(xué)校后記得給你媽媽打電話。

I remember meeting her at a party last year.我記得去年在一次聚會(huì)上見(jiàn)過(guò)她。

3). try to do sth. 與 try doing sth. 

 try to do sth.  設(shè)法或努力去做某事

try doing sth. 試著做某事

Advertisements try to make us believe that we will only be happy by spending more money buying more things. 廣告設(shè)法使我們相信只有通過(guò)花更多的錢(qián)買(mǎi)更多的東西我們才會(huì)開(kāi)心。

I'm trying to learn a new language this year. 我今年正努力學(xué)習(xí)一門(mén)新語(yǔ)言。

Why don't you try doing yoga to relax? 你為什么不試試做瑜伽來(lái)放松一下呢？

I'm going to try cooking Italian food tonight.我今晚打算試著做意大利菜.

4).  stop to do sth. 與 stop doing sth.

stop to do sth. 停下來(lái)去做另外的事

stop doing sth. 停止做某事

He was reading a book, but he stopped to answer the phone when it rang. 他正在看書(shū)，但當(dāng)電話響起時(shí)，他停下來(lái)接了電話。

I was walking to the park when I stopped to buy a bottle of water. 我正走向公園，這時(shí)我停下來(lái)買(mǎi)了一瓶水。

Please stop talking and listen to me carefully.請(qǐng)不要說(shuō)話了，認(rèn)真聽(tīng)我說(shuō)。

She finally stopped crying and tried to calm down.她終于停止了哭泣，并試圖冷靜下來(lái)。

3. need 后接不定式與動(dòng)名詞的區(qū)別.

當(dāng)作''需要'講時(shí),后接動(dòng)名詞主動(dòng)式等于不定式的被動(dòng)式.

The plan they are talking about needs improving (=needs to be improved). 他們正在談?wù)摰挠?jì)劃需要被改進(jìn)。

The room needs cleaning. （=The room needs to be cleaned.） 房間需要打掃了。
