must 是英文中非常常見的一個情態(tài)動詞，我們都知道它表示“必須”，但還是有一些用法是大家不清楚的，今天用一篇文章幫大家梳理一下：

主要有以下五種用法：

1. must 表示“必須”，用來表示一件事是“必須做的”、“非常重要的”：

You must finish your homework before going out to play with your friends.

你必須完成作業(yè)，才能出去跟你的小伙伴玩耍。

The doctor says that you must drink more water.

醫(yī)生交代你必須喝更多水才行。

駕駛員必須系安全帶。

2. must 后面加 not，表示“不允許做某事”，而且語氣非常強烈：

You must not drink and drive.

你不能酒駕。

You must not tell others this secret.

不準你告訴別人這個秘密。

You must not whisper to each other during the class.

上課期間禁止交頭接耳。

3. must 表示推測某事的可能性，表示某事一定會發(fā)生：

You must be hungry.

你一定餓了吧。

You must be kidding me.

你一定是在跟我說笑吧。

He must not like the job.

他一定不喜歡這份工作吧。

She must not be in the office.

她一定不在公司。

4. must 還表示強烈建議某人做某事：

You must come to visit us.

你一定要來看我們哦。

This TV drama is hilarious. You must watch it.

這部電視劇太搞笑了，你一定要看看。

This is a great novel. You must read it.

這本小說很棒，你一定要看。

5. “must have done”結(jié)構(gòu)表示對于過去發(fā)生之事的確信無疑：

I can’t find my game machine. My mom must have hidden it.

我找不到我的游戲機了，我媽媽一定把它藏起來了。
