不過有人測試了一下人類騎自行車的效率，他簡直是個(gè)天才, 這效率把禿鷲遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)甩在身后，直接爆表了。

somebody there=在那里的某人
there指的是Scientific American雜志那里
have the brilliance to do sth=非常睿智地決定去做某事

a human=a human being=一個(gè)人
humans=human beings=人類
注意mankind本身表示人類, 不可數(shù)

blow away字面意思是吹跑了
blow是吹的意思
注意原文中的blew是過去時(shí), 讀音和blue相同

blow away作為短語有2個(gè)常用意思
第一個(gè)是表示被深深折服
比如I was blown away by her performance
第二個(gè)是表示擊敗
A human being riding a bicycle blew away a condor

off the chart意思是說本來有一張chart來呈現(xiàn)大家的數(shù)值, 而你的數(shù)值如此之高, 完全超出了chart的范圍
中文里有一個(gè)很神似的表達(dá): 爆表
all the way則加強(qiáng)了語氣, 就好像沿著這個(gè)chart一路向上, 直到爆表, 非常形象
